The company is a spin-off from research into clean solvents at the University of Leeds and can call upon expertise developed over 16 years.
Critical Processes exists to transfer to industry environmentally friendly technologies which
have been developed from research being carried out worldwide. We have outstanding experience in developing practical solutions in the areas of supercritical fluids and superheated water and the replacement of problematic organic solvents by the benign media of carbon dioxide and water.
Critical Processes is a spin-off company from the University of Leeds and, although independent since 1997, it still has access to its prestigious Supercritical Fluid Research Group and the vast resource base that this represents. Substantive alliances are in place with European groups and equipment suppliers ensuring that Critical processes are well placed at the forefront of truly commercial supercritical fluid applications. Critical Processes carries out contract research, but recently has expanded its activities both into developing and marketing its own patented technologies and carrying out clean production of high-value materials. |
